Ain't nobody like Mama

Three cheers for all the mamas out there. I'm so amazed by selfless women everyday that have devoted their lives to their children. I'm so thankful to be surrounded by wonderful mothers in my life.

My mom is my everything. She is my best friend, grammar police (don't look at my title- I'm from Tennessee), my walking buddy, handy man, and my most reliable moral compass. I would truly be lost without her. She's also in the medical field, thanks and Praise goes to all you on the front lines!

I don't have any of my own children yet, so I want to spoil the mamas who are so wonderful to me. I always hope to give them such a special Mother's Day. Each more special than the last. This year, I feel like I'm doomed. I always do a large gathering with family and close friends and that's out.

We are celebrating twice this year, in order to keep our numbers smaller and our social distance larger. I usually do a gift card to somewhere local, but this year I combined that with some other more tangible things, since most local establishments won't be open for a while.

I'm including some selections here to give you some ideas. I realize these are last minute, but may work for a summer gift or a just because.

The tote was from Wal Mart it's the Time and Tru Brand. It's even cuter in person and now I want one! The summer pajamas are Wal Mart, too. It's the Secret Treasures brand and they are so soft and light. Perfect for warm weather, and being stuck at home. I also went with Satin Hands to help a local Mary Kay representative, and we are all washing our hands a bit more these days.

Anyone else a sucker for a themed gift basket?

What are your favorite Mother's Day traditions? Any go to gifts?

As the weekend progresses I will post some great summer recipes we are using to celebrate our Mamas!
